An affirmation is a carefully formatted statement that should be repeated to one’s self and written down frequently. For an affirmation to be effective, it needs to be present tense, positive, personal and specific.

What you focus on, you attract more of. The energetic vibration you send out, attracts experiences of a similar vibration. All matter and everything in the universe can be viewed as waves, as frequencies, as energy. This is the basis of the law of attraction.

Everything is energy. Everything has a frequency, a wavelength and a mass. This is thoroughly explained by physics, but I am not going geek mode now. Sorry.

One reason thoughts manifest in your life, that is explained by science.






To make use of the law of attraction, one does not need science to explain the whole structure of how and why it works. And it can’t. At least not yet. You may already have seen how you attract certain experiences and things into your life, if not, maybe you will, if it is relevant for you. When you are looking for something in particular, and perhaps even expecting it, your mind will find connections and ways to confirm your beliefs and expectations. This is called confirmation bias, and can also be viewed as part of the law of attraction.

Mind Your Vibration

Be aware of what you are sending out.

The universe does not know words, it knows energy and vibration.

If you have some minor cough and you believe you may be about to get sick, perhaps you think or say to yourself “I am not sick, I am not going to get sick, I am not getting sick”.

Then you send out a vibration of sickness and chances are you will get sick. The universe see that you are focusing on the energy of sickness. What you focus on, you will attract.

If you are thinking and believing “I am healthy and well” you are more likely to stay healthy and well. You are emitting an energy of health and wellness. Nevertheless, if you do not actually believe that you can avoid getting sick, because the symptoms you experience have led to sickness in the past, such an affirmation will not work.

You need to believe your affirmations for them to work. They have to make you feel good in order to be effective, if not they can attract the opposite of what you want. This does not mean that you will automatically attract all kinds of bad stuff if you do not master the law of attraction. What you attract will be relevant, and there for you to learn and grow. If you attract something you don’t want you can just as easily attract something you do want.

Sometimes you feel you know what is going to happen before it happens. This is how you can see the future. By living in the vibration that something already is determined to manifest, you will attract it. You do not need to know how it will happen. The universe works in mysterious ways.


Expect Good Things To Happen

Tune yourself into expecting good things to materialize, knowing that you easily attract what you send out if it is relevant for you. For example it is not relevant for most people to spend their time trying to truly believe they can levitate or live without food, hence they can’t. This is probably not their path of least resistance into what their purpose is either. By choosing to trust that good things will happen, you will feel good and attract more good feelings.

Focus on What’s Working

If you use affirmations that does not make you feel good and that you don’t actually believe in, try something else instead. Be honest. Try starting with gratitude. Anything that makes you feel good. When you already are in a good feeling state of high vibration you can try more direct affirmations. Then it will be easier to believe them, because you know that you are worthy and capable of manifesting whatever you desire.

We are governed by our collective belief systems, created over thousands of years. We live very similar lives much because of these belief systems. We are situationally focused. We try to control our environment, our circumstances. By being in a super meditative state, entirely vibrationally focused instead of situationally focused, we have no limits. Is this even relevant to think about? For most people it may not resonate at all. Focus on what is working and notice how you can attract certain things into your life. Life is a process of evolution and learning and in the big picture we can’t go wrong. Enjoy!
